Game lines
Team goals go into a Poisson model for each side. Regulation ties are split between the two teams rather than left as a third outcome, and a tied game is credited with one extra goal for the overtime or shootout winner — a 3-3 regulation game settles as a seven-goal total, never six. Proj is projected goals for that team on a moneyline row and the expected game total on a total row. Because the two sides are modelled independently, close games resolve in regulation more often here than in reality, so favourites read slightly high — treat moneyline edges under about 3% as noise.
